Garbage Bags

2019

A direct, yet abstract, link between what my family throws in the trash and what we purchase at the store. I used a semi-full bag of trash as a form onto which scrap cotton fabric was draped and molded, held in place with only clothespins. The memory impressed upon this bag and its fragility was elevated in the state of consciousness as my grandmother and I were grocery shopping.
